The Lamb Inn Restaurant in Burford was awarded a prestigious third AA Rosette for culinary excellence

The AA Rosette scheme is long-established to recognise different levels of cooking nationwide and Rosettes are awarded solely by AA Hotel and Restaurant Inspectors with no influence from other guides. Their assessments are based on at least two mystery visits to a restaurant, with inspectors remaining undercover throughout the duration to ensure that their experience is a genuine reflection on the dining experience of any other guests. At present, only 198 restaurants in the UK hold the 3 Rosette award.

AA inspectors visited The Lamb Inn on several occasions and the third rosette was officially awarded to the restaurant on September 26 2016.

Head Chef, Peter Galeski (pictured), has been working at The Lamb Inn since February 2015 having previously also worked at sister hotel; The Manor House in Moreton in Marsh among other notable Cotswold restaurants. Since joining The Lamb Inn, Peter has formed a great bond with his team, who have been working together throughout 2016 and achieved this new accolade.

Bill Ramsay, the General Manager of The Lamb Inn, said “I could not be happier to be involved in achieving three rosettes and I could not be prouder of the Lamb Inn team who have worked so hard and diligently to be awarded this. Head Chef and I are now looking forward to the immediate future of the hotel and restaurant and maintaining this fantastic accolade.”

The Lamb Inn Restaurant is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. The main dinner menu is priced at £39 for two courses or £45 for three courses and this menu will remain at this competitive price regardless of the new and exciting accolade. Other menus available include an 8 course tasting menu, which is designed to truly showcase the talents of Head Chef, and can be paired with a perfectly matched wine flight. Alternatively, a more

traditional Sunday lunch menu is available from just £23 and bookings are currently being taken for festive party lunches from just £25.
