Venue
Beluga is a popular bar and restaurant in the heart of Bramhall village which has been providing daytime and evening meals for 13 years. Live music boosts the atmosphere further most weekends.
Menu
The menu offers a wide selection, mainly traditional bar and grill dishes. Salt and pepper ribs are a ‘must try’ while the Hot Rocks offer an alternative twist to some of the grill dishes. The Ultimate Combo (£17.95) was salt and pepper ribs, garlic bread, mozzarella, chicken tikka skewers and onion rings. The ribs and garlic bread were great! The Hot Rock Steak (£16.95) is served on a sizzling plate (not a rock as stated but the idea is the same). My rib eye steak was brought out seasoned and then you cook it to your liking.
Décor and ambience
Unobtrusive décor with good use of low lighting creates an informal and relaxing dining experience. The dining space and small bar area allow for a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. There’s an outdoor decking area which is nice for the summer.
Service
Service is excellent. The staff are friendly and accommodating, making themselves available without intruding.
Cost
A sharing platter, beef burger and a steak ‘Hot Rock’ accompanied by a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon (£19.90) was around £65.
