Ross & Ross Food are a locally based company producing Handmade British Food Gifts. They started off in 2011 making award-winning pate and terrines, supplying local and regional food halls including Harvey Nichols, Harrods and Daylesford Organic. The food range moved on in 2015 and they now sell ambient foodie gifts, DIY Curing Kits, a British BBQ range and a Roast Dinner range. Click here to see their whole range.

Wherever possible Ross & Ross work with fellow local producers and independent suppliers to create the products in small batches. The BBQ and Roast oils are made with Cotswold Gold Rapeseed Oil and smoked at Upton Smokery, Mr Trotters supply charcuterie for the Man Boxes and the Stratford-upon-Avon Brewery produce their Ale, ‘The Cotswold Pig’. Using local ingredients, suppliers and producers are a very important business value and brings with it lots of benefits for the company; food collaborations, supporting fellow small businesses, less food miles and the overall promotion of the Cotswolds region.

They sell their products to trade accounts across the country and are stocked in local farm shops, service stations and delis as well as national stores. The gifts are also sold through online shops and the company is a long-established food partner on Not on The High Street – now selling over 50 food products on the NOTHS web shop.

Earlier this year, Ross & Ross Food won a prestigious trade award from the Giftware Association known as “Gift of the Year”. Their festive ‘Christmas Roast Dinner Box’ won and in 2017 their ‘Homemade Curing Kit...Salmon’ also won the award, a respected accolade for their continuing innovation and hard work in the industry.

Ross & Ross Food have been an ongoing supporter of the Cotswold Life Awards, winning the best food product in 2015 and gaining runner-up positions in recent years. This year they have given us 400 bottles of their ‘Cotswold Pig’ Ale to add to our gift bags for the Awards. This ale won two Great Taste Award stars in 2017. The judges commented how it was a: “Beautiful deep gold in the glass with a pleasing head and a lovely medley of fruity, floral, hoppy aromas on the nose. Good freshness on the palate, with some honeyed notes carrying gentle hoppiness and a pleasing dry, gently bitter finish. We could drink this all-night long.”

The business continues to grow and expanded year on year. To do this they are always thinking of the ‘next’ product or foodie gift concept. The future involves focusing on stocking in supermarkets and forming relationships with trade accounts in the US, Australasia and Europe.
