The award-winning restaurant at Cotswolds88 Hotel in Painswick has now won a coveted third AA rosette.
The avant garde boutique hotel, set in a magnificent 18th-century Palladian manor house, has already carved out a reputation as one of the most stylish in the business with a Four Star AA rating for its overall performance.
The restaurant has also won a loyal following of fans under the guidance of Executive Head Chef, Lee Scott who has cooked for A-List celebrities like Tom Cruise, Madonna and Eddie Murphy.
The AA inspectors awarded the restaurant two rosettes on their first visit – the highest they gave give on an initial inspection - and on a recent second visit, promptly upgraded that to three.

“It is universally recognised in the industry that three AA rosettes takes you into the big league as there are only 28 other restaurants in the whole of the South West to reach this standard and only one other in Gloucestershire.
“Expectations of the kitchen are high. Exact technique, flair and imagination must come through in every dish, and balance and depth of flavour are all-important.
“But we have no intention of resting on our laurels as there are a total of five rosettes to aim for which would take us into a very rarified atmosphere - there are only two restaurants outside London to carry five and only 13 with four.
“The restaurant has won a number of other awards including the Hotel Restaurant of the Year trophy in the Cotswold Life 2011 Food and Drinks Awards.
“Lee really has brought a touch of something special to the restaurant and sources as much local produce as possible with frequent changes to the menu, so that when people come back to eat they are always pleasantly surprised.”
