Pavilion Electrics is many things to many people; local electrician, electrical store, commercial contractor, but it prides itself most on its trusted reputation built over 40 years in business

Serving Sussex for over

40 years, Pavilion Electrics’ approach to customer service and quality is helping to change the way people think about electricians and electrical contractors. “Often the only time you see your local electrician is when something has blownup, burnt-out or gone wrong.“ says Managing Director John Raynsford. “Of course, in those situations Pavilion Electrics is here to help, but we also want to be there when things go right and helping our customers make positive improvements to their homes and businesses.”

A local family business

This year marks a new era for Pavilion Electrics with owners John and Margaret Raynsford joined by their son, Jody, in running the business after John’s former partner retired last year. Regular customers will already have noted some changes whilst the company is constantly looking to gain feedback from the community. “We are making some major improvements over the next few months that will allow us to serve our customers even better,” Jody says. “But what will remain the same is our good old-fashioned customer service.”

Reliable and trusted

“Our customers rely on us as their local electrician so our reputation has been built on reliability and trust that the work we dois to the highest standards,” John says. As an NICEIC Approved Contractor and Domestic Installer and member of the government-backed Trustmark scheme, Pavilion Electrics customers are assured that the quality of work undertaken by its team of experienced electricians meets the highest standards. Furthermore, all work is fully guaranteed and insured and comes with great aftersales support – it’s one of the reasons why so many customers keep coming back. Those customers range from local business, shops, care homes and schools to some of the most high profile organisations in Sussex, including Brighton and Hove Council, Brighton & Hove Bus Company and Plumpton College. “It’s a bit of a clich to say ‘no job is too big or too small’, but if you take a look at our list of clients over the years it really does apply to us,” John says.

More than just electricians

In such a fast-moving world, it is sometimes difficult to keep pace with new technology for the home and business. Pavilion Electrics understands this and is proactive in offering the latest designs, technology and advice to its customers, such as the range of new energy-efficient lighting and appliances for the home and office. And Pavilion Electrics’ work isn’t just restricted to indoors, offering customers a unique outdoor lighting design service to make the most of your garden and grounds.

The shop – friendly and helpful advice

Based in Hassocks, The Pavilion Electrics Shop offers everything you would need from a local electrical store: day-to-day essentials, such as bulbs, batteries and fuses, to kitchen and household appliances and a wide range of lamps and light fittings. The shop also stocks a range of vacuum cleaners, as well as cleaner bags, spares and vacuum cleaner servicing to help your existing cleaner go that little bit longer. “If you plug it in, we’ve probably got it in,” says Margaret Raynsford. “In the unlikely event we don’t, we can order items usually for collection the next day. Call us today and we’ll do our best to help!”
