Parking

There is plenty of easily accessible parking around the town, whether you are visiting the town centre or Southport beach.

There is parking on Southport Beach, however this is only accessible at limited time of the year and is closed if there are high tides, so be sure to double check before your visit. If you are planning a visit to the town centre, the there is street parking in along Lord Street which is the main boulevard. Its great location is close to many central restaurants, hotels and the highstreet.

Day at the beach

If you fancy getting away from the hustle and bustle, then explore Southport’s beautiful coastline and soak up the views. Build sandcastles, fly a kite or even take a paddle - weather permitting of course - on one of North of England’s finest coast lines. The beach is also perfect for keen nature lovers, in particular bird watchers as it is a haven for species like avocets and pink footed geese. You can also spot some more beautiful wildlife along the Queens Jubilee Nature Trail, where the old dunes are now covered in willow scrub and are home to different orchids and wildlife.

Southport beach is also within close walking distance to the town centre, lots of B&B’s and plenty of attractions if you want to extend your beach day for a little longer.
