A reception for more than 50 people was hosted by Canon Eric Woods and his, wife Sandra, at The Vicarage, Sherborne, prior to the 'A Salute to the British Soldier' concert in Sherborne Abbey, a concert in aid of The Army Benevolent Fund, supported by the Countryside Alliance Foundation.
Reception guests included newscaster Martyn Lewis, who introduced the concert and gave readings, Major Peter Norton, actress Angharad Rees, and Julian and Emma Kitchener-Fellowes, all of whom also gave readings, and Isla St Clair, who sang Scottish songs.
