The Northern Dalesman has to be one of the most prettiest bus routes in the country, and it’s easy to see why it is the main focus for All Aboard! The Country Bus, that has been commissioned by BBC4.

To create the documentary, the bus was fixed with special cameras that captured the road ahead, the passing scenery and the occasional chatter of the regular passengers.

The programme features captions integrated into the Yorkshire Dales landscape to provide details about the dramatic countryside, providing footnotes on its human and geological heritage.

The route from Richmond to Ingleton is around 40 miles in total and travels through large parts of Swaledale and passes major landmarks such as the Ribblehead Viaduct.

Here are some of our reader photos that capture the beautiful Yorkshire Dales landmarks close to the bus route.
