Around 130 villagers and friends celebrated Blacko’s success in last year’s Best Kept Village competition at a black tie dinner dance held at Stirk House in Gisburn.

Organised by Blacko Events Committee, the annual event started as a festive dinner and now has become one to celebrate the new year. The village in the heart of Pendle witch country, picked up the top prize as Champion village in the Best Kept Village competition supported by Lancashire Life each year as well as being awarded a silver gilt medal in the North West in Bloom competition.
