Pictures from the Heage & Nether Heage Carnival 2010
The first Heage & Nether Heage Carnival since 2003 was enjoyed by over 1,500 visitors. Local actor/singer songwriter John Tams (Daniel Hagman in the Sharpe TV series) opened the Carnival which began with a volley in his honour by members of the 95th Rifles. JC Balls diggers provided entertainment and Lydia Cassify was crowned Carnival Queen, attended by Cherise Tredgett and Fern Nicholls. Heage Windmill built on last year’s success in the Derbyshire Renaissance Heritage Awards with another splendid well dressing.
