The colours may have changed, but these scenes should be familiar to anyone who knows the county.

We may be biased, but think that Lancashire is beautiful at any time of the year, but if you asked us what our favourite season is, we would have to say: Autumn.

It doesn’t matter where you live in the county, wherever you are, you aren’t far from enjoying the colourful delights of the season.

The Forest Of Bowland has plenty of woodland that are transformed at this time of year and are perfect for autumn walking. The highlands in the Pennines will also reward you with some fantastic views of autumnal hues from high above.

Even if you live or work in more densely populated areas, the county is full of parks and ‘green spaces’ that will allow you to witness the changing of the seasons without travelling too far.

With that in mind, we would love to see your autumn photos from across the county, go to our reader photo gallery to add your images.
