Opened in March by West Stow Pods, Pod Hollow is the latest form of glamping accommodation that Lord of the Rings fans will find absolutely precious
Get your fellowship together this summer and book into the incredible Pod Hollow, a meticulously created self-catering holiday home inspired by the works of JRR Tolkien.
Nestled in the side of a grassy knoll in private Suffolk woodland, Pod Hollow – otherwise known as the Halfling House – can accommodate up to five people and has a sitting room, kitchen, dining room and modern shower room.
The accommodation has been long in the works for West Stow Pods owner Jan Lengyel and it complements their existing collection of four MegaPods and Woodland Lodge.
“With the Anglo-Saxon Village a stone’s throw away and its connection with Tolkien, a Halfling-style construction seemed like the obvious thing to supplement both our sites,” said Lengyel.
“We are hoping to offer guided tours from Pod Hollow, through the King’s Forest and along the River Lark embankment for part of the way and on to the Anglo-Saxon Village as just one of several Middle-Earth adventures on offer.”
With walking, cycling and horse riding trails aplenty in the surrounding area, sit back, light your pipe and wait for Gandalf’s knock at the door.
