Just how many people can you fit in your garden? Over 160 guests supported a charitable fundraising Strawberry and Cream Tea garden party at the Breaston home of John and Shirley Walker. Guests were thrilled that ITV presenter, Lucy Kite attended the event. Local girl, Lucy said, ‘I had a fantastic afternoon. We enjoyed some beautiful sunshine, yummy refreshments, lots of shopping and some serious fundraising. I was particularly keen to be involved in this event as Treetops Hospice helped care for my Grandmother, Ivy Poole, who sadly passed away earlier this year after a cruel battle with Motor Neurone Disease. The Garden Party raised 1,200 for the Treetops Ripple Appeal, thank you to everyone for being so generous.’

Kate Shaw, Treetops Hospice Ripple Appeal Manager said, ‘The event was a huge success thanks to some superb organization from Breaston residents Keith and Anne Wright. We were so lucky with the weather and to have Lucy attend.’
