Members of the Queen's Own Buffs Association made their last official visit to Ypres in Belgium this summer to commemorate those from their regiment who fell in the First World War.
Veterans from Kent spent three days in the Ypres Salient area where the battles of Ypres and Passchendaele were fought.
In a moving evening ceremony at the Menin Gate in Ypres, where the names of 54,896 British and Commonwealth soldiers with no known graves are engraved, the Buffs and the Royal West Kents paraded their standards, led by the Band of the Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment, before the laying of wreaths.
The last post was sounded by buglers of the Last Post Association, local Ypres volunteer firemen who perform in remembrance at the Menin Gate every evening throughout the year.
