Chris Jarvis who presents Stargazing on CBeebies visited his old Preparatory School leaving children star struck
Brentwood Preparatory School pupils were star-struck recently when former pupil turned children’s TV presenter, Chris Jarvis, made a return visit.
Currently presenting Stargazing on CBeebies, Chris explained to pupils in Years 2, 3 and 4 what it takes to make a television show, including some behind-the-scenes secrets. He also brought with him Stuffy, a character from the popular Show Me, Show Me. Chris was later taken on a tour of the Senior School, which he attended from 1980 to 1987, and the memories flooded back.
Headmaster of Brentwood Preparatory School, Jason Whiskerd, said: ‘It was fantastic that Chris gave up his time to spend the day with us and the pupils and teachers really enjoyed meeting him. We hope he’ll be able to come back next year to help us celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Prep School.’
