Friends of Lancasterian, a charity which supports the work of Lancasterian Specialist School in Didsbury, hosted a Valentine dinner, dance and auction at The Lowry Hotel.

The black tie occasion, held in aid of the school’s playground appeal, saw over 120 guests along and three pupils raise £10,000 toward the target of £25,000. Host for the evening was the former Hacienda DJ, Dave Haslam, and entertainment was provided by The Riviera Band and The Fanatics.

Sam Hough, chair of the Friends of Lancasterian, said: ‘I am so pleased with the amount raised. The evening was a huge success with everyone dancing until the early hours.’
