From the moment you arrive at The Treatment Rooms at Maison Talbooth in Dedham, prepare to be pampered.
You’ll find the Maison Talbooth hotel down a quiet country lane, within pretty gardens and on a hill that overlooks the Stour Valley, a well known Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Park in front of the Maison and come on in. You’ll receive a warm welcome from friendly staff who will invite you to rest a while in the sitting room. Settle down into one of the gorgeous deep sofas and leaf through a magazine or two before your treatment begins.
The team want you to feel completely relaxed in these beautiful surroundings and to leave feeling rejuvenated. Some guests pop in for single treatments or for express grooming services, including manicures, pedicures, waxing and massage. Some come alone for well-deserved ‘me time’ and others make it a whole day’s treat to be shared with a special friend or family member.
In the holidays or as soon as the children are back at school, there are often parents or grandparents who are ‘coming up for air’! We all love our kids, but when you float out of The Treatment Rooms you’re guaranteed to feel happier, calmer and even better equipped to face the challenges of a busy life.
Two double treatment rooms are available, so you and your guest can each have your own therapist but share a room. Mums, daughters and friends say they love this arrangement, enabling them both to be thoroughly spoiled while enjoying time together. The Treatment Rooms use Dermalogica products and provide special spa packages that are designed for two guests, such as the Double Trouble which offers two hours of pampering for you and a friend. First you’ll each have a facial and then a powerdirect55 — 55 minutes of intense, full body massage to help you unwind.
Maison Talbooth is a spa destination for women and men, so the boys don’t need to miss out. There is a 55-minute treatment called The Face that’s designed especially for men, involving a deep cleanse, exfoliation and steam, followed by a mask and pressure point facial. It ends with a blissful shoulder and scalp massage.
If you’re not sure which treatments to choose, therapists can assess your skin using a complimentary Face Mapping Service, in order to recommend the treatments that will match your exact requirements.
Guests who book one of the special spa packages have complimentary use of the hotel facilities (including an outdoor pool heated to 85° all year, the pool house, hot tub and tennis court) for the rest of their visit and a two-course lunch is included.
Another idea is to book The Treatment Rooms and whole hotel for one night for an exclusive private event or hen party for up to 24 guests. What’s included? Everything!
