The Midland Hotel, Manchester, was the venue for a glamorous ball to mark the end of school days for sixth formers from Withington Girls’ School, Manchester Grammar School and Manchester High School. They enjoyed an inter-school farewell black tie celebration. More than 300 guests enjoyed a drinks reception accompanied by music from MGS jazz band, followed by a three course dinner. The evening was completed by a performance by MGS student group, Rose Gold, and a DJ.
WGS head girl and member of the leavers’ ball committee, Chess Gray, said: ‘The ball was an evening of great fun and everyone enjoyed letting their hair down after the exam season.’
