A jazz band is set to take the stage in Cornwall with soulful sounds and timeless energy.
Davina & The Vagabonds will perform at the Minack Theatre, Porthcurno, on July 24, as part of their UK tour.
Fronted by Davina Sowers, the band blends early New Orleans jazz, swing, blues, and soul into an electrifying live performance that has won them acclaim around the world.
Their UK tour includes stops in Barnoldswick, Cardiff, Newcastle, Godalming and Edinburgh.
A band spokesman said: "Davina & The Vagabonds bring high-energy vintage music into the modern spotlight, blending jazz, blues, and soul with a flair that feels both timeless and fiercely alive.
"Led by powerhouse vocalist and pianist Davina Sowers, the band has built an international reputation for electrifying performances, razor-sharp musicianship, and undeniable charisma.
"Known for their rotating, horn-driven lineup and explosive live shows, Davina & The Vagabonds turn every stage into a celebration.
"From intimate listening rooms to major festivals and concert halls, they create a deep connection with audiences through joyful rhythms, heartfelt ballads, and irresistible grooves."
Davina Sowers' story is as striking as her music.
Raised in Altoona, Pennsylvania, she developed a drug addiction during her youth that led to homelessness and time in jail.
She eventually overcame her addiction while living on the streets, later reflecting that she "got clean, started the band, and worked [her] ass off every day since."
The band formed in 2004 and has since performed in 45 US states, 12 European countries, and two Canadian provinces.
They have appeared on Later… With Jools Holland and PBS’s Bluegrass Underground, they have received praise from major outlets, including the Chicago Tribune and NPR.
Their performance at the Minack Theatre is part of their July UK tour, which also includes appearances at the Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival.
