A COTSWOLD artist is bringing a burst of vintage circus colour to Stroud Brewery this summer with a new exhibition of hand‑painted decorative letter boards.

Cotswold Alphabet Art, created by home‑based artist Saraan de Guise, is on display at the Stairwell Gallery at Stroud Brewery until September 14.

The show features original circus‑inspired alphabet pieces and bespoke letter boards, all hand‑painted in the Cotswolds and available for commission.

Drawing on her love of graphic design, vintage circus posters, Pop Art and the local landscape, Ms de Guise creates personalised artworks that turn names, initials, places and favourite words into bold, colourful designs. Her pieces blend muted tones with joyful splashes of colour, designed to be hung as one‑off artworks or given as unique gifts.

Ms de Guise, who has lived near Cirencester for 30 years, studied art and art history in London and spent years visiting galleries and museums before her career took her into recruitment and then running a much‑loved Cotswold pub for 15 years.
