A Cotswolds restaurant has been named among the UK's best.

Post in Newnham-on-Severn, Gloucestershire, has been listed as one of the top 100 local restaurants by The Good Food Guide, securing the 91st spot.

The restaurant, located in a former Post Office, is renowned for its small, refined plates centred around high-quality local produce, much of which is grown by the owners.

The restaurant is known for its regularly changing menu with a continental flair, featuring a range of meat, fish, and vegetarian dishes.

These can be ordered as either shared or single-portion plates.

A single-course lunch option and a coffee-and-cake service are also available from Friday to Sunday.

Diners have recently praised vegetable-focused starters such as asparagus and mushrooms, alongside a beefsteak tomato dish.

The restaurant also boasts a well-curated wine list, with staff able to recommend pairings for each dish.

With its focus on home-produced and locally sourced ingredients, Post provides a modern, small-plates dining experience, setting it apart from traditional pub fare.
