The Dorset village of Cattistock has reinvented their countryside show to bring families a covid-sensitive day out with a treasure hunt style adventure

Though many fetes, fairs and festivals across the county are cancelled this summer, there is one fabulous Dorset show which has reinvented itself for these social distancing times. The popular Cattistock Countryside Show has been rebranded the Cattistock Countryside Road Show featuring an epic Treasure Hunt which takes place this Sunday 2 August.

Spanning five miles and four farms it has all the elements of their popular annual show, just on a socially distanced scale. Walk, drive, cycle, ride following a giant treasure hunt linking you to hidden show pods filled with local trade stands including food and drink, arts and crafts, plants and more. There will also be family games, a pets corner and demonstrations of traditional rural crafts and pursuits.

This is a fun and safe Dorset day out for all the family, and continues the show’s 58-year tradition of bringing local people a proper rural country show.
