Christmas is under a month away now and many people in Bournemouth might be thinking of sorting out a Christmas tree for the season if they haven't done so already.

Getting one erected and decorated in your home can brighten the mood leading up to the big day.

You could pull the same old artificial tree from your attic, but there is something special about buying a real tree- especially when you can buy it from a local business in Bournemouth.

There are a variety of shapes, sizes and types of Christmas trees to choose from to suit all of your personal preferences.

Where to find a real Christmas tree in and around Bournemouth

BH Christmas Trees

Address: The Christmas Tree Warehouse, 71 Seabourne Rd, Bournemouth BH5 2HD

BH Christmas Trees is selling several different Nordmann Firs, with sizes ranging from three feet up to 25 feet.

They are either non-drop or grown in a pot, and the store also sells Christmas tree stands if you need one.

Christmas trees can be bought from the website here with delivery costing just £3 to the BCP area, or you can go in person to pick one up.

Pines and Needles

Pines and Needles will be open between Friday, December 1 and Tuesday, December 19.

Opening hours are 10am to 5pm on weekdays and 9am to 5pm on weekends.

It can deliver Christmas trees to the BH1, BH2, BH3, BH4, BH5, BH6, BH7, BH8 and BH9 postcodes.

Moors Valley Christmas Tree Shop

In Moors Valley Country Park, which is around a half-hour drive away from Bournemouth, they have a Christmas Tree shop set up if you want to get one.

It is open now from 10am to 4pm every day until all trees are sold out.

Contactless payments are encouraged along with bringing your own blanket or sheet to cover the tree in to make it a more sustainable purchase.

On some days there will also be local stallholders offering handmade Christmas gifts and treats nearby to the shop.
