Television gardeners Chris Beardshaw and Carol Klein were among the 15,000 people who attended Chorley Flower Show in Astley Park.
The event featured gardening talks and demonstrations in the Gardening Theatre as well as spectacular floral displays including gold medal winners from some of the country’s biggest shows. Among the highlights was Chorley Council’s Silver Gilt award winning RHS Chelsea Flower Show exhibit ‘The Evaders’ Garden’.
Visitors to the two day show also enjoyed regional competitions for the National Sweet Pea Society and the Rose Society UK, the amateur marquee, horticultural trade stands and tours of Astley Hall which was decorated with delightful floral displays.
