Cumbria's gothic Muncaster Castle will animate Halloween with a fresh Frankenstein tour and a fright night experience.
The castle is preparing for its popular Halloween Festival to return from October 21 to 29, offering a wealth of family friendly activities.
As part of the fun, guests can visit Dr Frankenstein's laboratory, navigate a spooky maze, and enjoy arts, crafts, and themed activities.
Ewan Frost-Pennington, part of the family that has lived at Muncaster for over 800 years, said: "We know how much families love our Halloween Festival and this year we are going bigger and better than ever.
"There are songs, stories and a little spooky silliness which we hope will give all our visitors a Halloween experience to remember."
In addition to the festival, the castle is launching Scarecaster, a night festival aimed at an older crowd, featuring poltergeist tour The Vanishing, live music, and food.
The Seven Deadly Screams will await those brave enough to take on the terrifying maze.
West End performers and award-winning magician, Chris Cox, will lend their talents to enhance the performances.
The festival runs from 10.30am to 7pm, while Scarecaster occurs on selected nights from 5pm to 11pm.
