Ribble Steam Railway You can find Ribble Steam Railway sitting in the heart of Preston’s old Industrial Docklands. Pay a visit between May and September for steam train rides along their line. http://www.ribblesteam.org.uk/

Harris Museum The Harris Museum first opened its doors in 1893 and has continued with a philosophy that aims to create links between people collection and exhibitions. The building itself is full of history and has successfully brought contemporary art and historic exhibits to Preston. http://www.harrismuseum.org.uk/

Queen Street Textile Museum Experience the last surviving steam powered weaving mill and travel back in time to the days when the cotton industry ruled British economy. Lancaster Castle Overlooking the town of Lancaster and the River Lune, Lancaster Castle dates back to Roman times. The castle was a functioning HM Prison until 2011, however now it is a living monument to the history of Lancaster. http://www.lancastercastle.com/

Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery Blackburn Museum and Art Gallery is home to an impressive Egyptology collection including a mummy discovered by Blackburn born Egyptologist John Garstang. http://blackburnmuseum.org.uk/
