What first attracted you to it?
We loved the five bedrooms and high specification finish. We loved the master bedroom and the large en-suite bathrooms. There are also great small touches like the built-in ceiling speakers on the ground and first floors, outside shower buttons on the en-suite bathrooms. It’s the small details that make it different and stand out. And the built-in wardrobes in all the bedrooms are ideal for storage.
How have you changed the house?
We have had the house fully re-designed by a leading interior designer. We have installed a full karndean floor throughout the ground floor. We have added a new glass staircase with a handrail and carpet runner as well as black glass and panelled doors through the house.
The back garden has been totally landscaped with red cedar fencing and porcelain paving with a split-level patio area. We have also added a high specification walk-in wardrobe with ceiling and LED lighting and a media wall to the second largest bedroom.
What will you miss most about the house?
The area and the estate. Living in a small cul de sac gives you a feeling of closeness and security while also having a large living space with privacy. The house is of a size where you have your privacy in a rural area but with the security of a small estate and people surrounding you.
I feel in this area you could go out and leave your doors open, it's that type of estate. We have designed the house with storage in mind as we have a busy household. The house stays tidy with a large garage, garden and utility room and plenty of rooms for guests and entertaining. The large bi-fold doors that open up onto the red cedar and porcelain garden are great for entertaining with the open plan kitchen and living area is ideal.
