The Amazing Accrington Food & Drink Festival is set to return this weekend.

Taking place on Saturday, from 10am until 4pm, the event promises a day full of culinary delights, live entertainment, and family fun.

More than 80 food, drink, and craft stalls will fill the town centre, offering dishes from across Lancashire and around the world.

This year’s programme includes cooking demonstrations, a chilli challenge, funfair rides, and family activities.

Sean Noonan, head chef at the Mercure Dunkenhalgh Hotel & Spa, will lead cooking demonstrations throughout the day, preparing dishes that showcase Lancashire’s culinary talent.

Mr Noonan said: "We're proud to be sponsoring this year's festival and I'm looking forward to showcasing some fantastic Lancashire produce during the live cooking demonstrations.

"It's always a fabulous event and a great opportunity to celebrate great food with the community."

New this year is the Taste of Hyndburn Tent, featuring live entertainment at 2pm and a showcase of local food and drink businesses.

The festival coincides with the 82nd anniversary of D-Day, and organisers have planned a series of commemorative activities across the day.
