Meet alpacas and other animals at a free event taking place in Norwich city centre over May half-term.

Unicorn Alpaca Walks, based in Shipmeadow near Beccles, will be in Castle Gardens, outside the Castle Quarter, on Wednesday, May 29 2024 between 12noon and 4pm.

They will also bring along some rare breed and exotic animals from their animal sanctuary Happily Ever After, including miniature horses and tortoises.

The event is being hosted by the Castle Quarter as part of its ongoing programme of family-friendly and free events, with no need to book.

Lucie Etheridge, chief volunteer and co-owner of the alpaca’s home at Wilderley Farm, said: “We are excited to be making the journey to Castle Quarter to share our beautiful animals with visitors of all ages.

"The alpacas are real characters and have a unique ability to spread happiness and make people smile.

"We will also be bringing some of our rescue animals for you to meet."
