Based in Fakenham, Arcadia Home and Living is a destination for kitchens, bathrooms, interiors and outdoor living, offering clients the opportunity to design different areas of their home through one experienced team.

Good design starts with understanding the people who will live with it. Before thinking about finishes or products, the Arcadia team takes time to understand the property, the way it is used and what the client wants to achieve. It is an approach that allows the design to develop naturally around both the home and the people within it.

Projects can begin with something as focused as a new bathroom or kitchen and extend to several rooms, complete interiors or outdoor living spaces. Rather than treating these areas in isolation, the team can look at the home as a whole, considering how layouts, materials, colours, lighting, furniture and architectural details relate from one space to another.

The Fakenham showroom brings that approach to life. Designed to be explored rather than simply viewed, it gives clients the opportunity to see full room settings, handle materials, compare finishes and experience products before making decisions for their own home.

Behind the displays is a team experienced in design, specification and project delivery, able to support clients from the first ideas through to installation. Arcadia works with leading brands alongside specialist manufacturers and skilled craftspeople, giving the designers the flexibility to source products and finishes that suit the individual project.

That breadth becomes particularly important when several areas of a property are being designed at once. Decisions can be made with the wider home in mind, creating continuity where it is wanted while still allowing individual rooms to have their own character.

The showroom itself continues to evolve as new products, materials and ideas are introduced. Arcadia also hosts events, demonstrations and opportunities to meet the brands and specialists behind its designs, making the showroom a place to return to for inspiration as well as the starting point for a project.

Set within a characterful farmhouse, this completed kitchen shows how contemporary design can work beautifully within a traditional property without competing with its original character.

The vaulted room presented an opportunity to create something with real presence. Floor-to-ceiling cabinetry makes use of the height of the space while providing generous concealed storage, allowing the kitchen to retain a clean and uncluttered appearance.

At the centre, a substantial island creates the main focus of the room and connects the kitchen with the adjoining dining and mezzanine areas. Its position allows the different parts of the open-plan space to work together while maintaining a clear purpose for each.

Warm neutral cabinetry is paired with natural timber, subtle metallic details and expressive veined surfaces. Underfoot, terracotta-inspired porcelain tiles introduce warmth and character while offering the durability needed for everyday family life.

Lighting and material changes were used to emphasise the architecture of the room and create a sense of connection across the large space. The finished kitchen feels contemporary without losing the warmth and character that belong in a farmhouse setting — a practical family kitchen that also makes the most of an exceptional room.

At Walsham Wood, the brief moves beyond the walls of the house, creating an outdoor space designed around cooking, dining and entertaining.

The scheme combines a Grillo Living outdoor kitchen with architectural pergola structures and sliding glass panels, creating a series of usable outdoor areas while retaining an open connection with the garden.

The structures provide shelter from changing weather without making the space feel enclosed. Sliding glass panels add further protection when needed and can be opened to reconnect the entertaining area fully with its surroundings.

The outdoor kitchen sits at the heart of the scheme, creating a natural place for people to gather while food is being prepared. Integrated lighting and the surrounding structures allow the space to be enjoyed beyond summer afternoons, extending how and when the garden can be used.

Outdoor living has become an important part of Arcadia's wider approach to the home. The collection includes outdoor kitchens, pergolas and architectural structures, sliding glass systems, flooring, furniture, lighting and heating, allowing the same attention given to an interior to continue into the garden.

A project might begin with a standalone outdoor kitchen or develop into a complete entertaining space incorporating cooking, dining, shelter, lighting and heating. The team considers not only how the finished space will look, but practical details such as its position within the garden, exposure to the weather and how clients want to use it throughout the year.

Working outdoor displays at the Fakenham showroom allow clients to see these products in use, experience the materials and finishes and understand how the different elements can work together.

Whether the starting point is a kitchen, bathroom, complete interior or a new way to use the garden, Arcadia offers a place to explore ideas, discover products and work with a team that can turn them into a finished space.
