Redecorating can be a daunting process, with so many things to consider. However, Farrow & Ball can make it all easier with their bespoke in-home service – we caught up with one of their Colour Consultants, Jill Hazelgrove
Many will already be familiar with Farrow & Ball for its richly pigmented paints, handcrafted wallpapers and characterful colour names. What you might not know, however, is that the colour expertise it is famed for also extends to a bespoke in-home service, purposely designed to offer an extra helping hand in creating a home you can't wait to come back to.
Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by endless possibilities, looking for the confidence to try something new, or unsure where to start with a tricky space, a Farrow & Ball expert Consultant will help make the process of transforming your home as relaxed and enjoyable as it should be.
From the first phone call to the final follow up, your Consultant is there to help. Visiting you in the comfort of your own home, at a time that works with your schedule, they'll carefully consider every element of your space and how it's used. Putting your tastes, ideas, and lifestyle at the forefront of every decision, your Consultant will work with you to create an easy-to-follow scheme, taking the stress out of choosing colours and finishes.
Finally, they'll help you get your transformation off to the smoothest start - as well as a written copy of your scheme, you'll receive a voucher to spend in Farrow & Ball stores, with a value of £50 to kick start your project.

What do you enjoy most about being a Colour Consultant?
That's a difficult choice! I love having the opportunity to use colour every day, finding unexpected and creative combinations that will enhance a room and everything in it, but more generally, finding the perfect solution to something that a client finds challenging about their home is really rewarding.
How do you approach your brief?
Getting a sense of what someone is looking to achieve within their home is the most important first step in any consultation. When I first get in touch with the client, we'll chat about style preferences, likes, dislikes, and any features or furnishings that are already part of the space. We're not there to impose our own style or our favourite design trends on someone else's home - it's all about taking their vision for the space and suggesting ways to turn that into a reality with colours and finishes that will show their property in its best light, while still showing their own personality.
