The East of England Co-op has become one of only two retailers in the UK to stock an own-label ale brewed by Adnams.

Adnams has created two beers, Golden Ale and Traditional Pale Ale, exclusively for the Co-op’s Sourced Locally range, which are available in every East of England Co-op store. John Lynsdale, of Adnams, said it was a natural partnership between two trusted businesses who share a commitment to serving local communities and a passion for the region’s food and drink.

Developed by Adnams’ master brewer, Belinda Jennings, the Golden ale is a crisp, clean, fruity beer, with aromas of mango, passion fruit and grapefruit, and an abv of 4.2%. The Traditional Pale Ale, with an abv of 4.5%, is more malty with aromas of green grassy British hops.
