Champion for the second year running, international event rider Paul Sims managed to retain his crown at this year’s Kelsall Hill Horse Trials at Organsdale Farm.

Facing tough competition in the advanced intermediate class, the Nantwich rider put in a stellar performance on Jolyon Chambers’ ‘Mystic Million’ to take home the £1,000 prize.

Congleton’s Emma Silman was placed second riding her own Sillogue Cailiocht. The three day event, sponsored by Istanbul BBQ Chester, saw visitors enjoy a varied schedule of events, including a parade by 2004 Grand National winner Amberleigh House, food concessions and trade stalls. w
