There are just two rules to be aware of: the competition is not open to professional photographers and all pictures must be taken in either Cheshire, north Wales or Manchester.

Cheshire Life editor Louise Taylor will be joined on the judging panel by picture editor John Cocks and David Parkinson from Wilkinson’s Cameras.

The Cheshire Life competition is only open to non-professionals and we’ve made it even easier to enter.

Simply go online to and click on the ‘Upload a Photo’ tab to be in with a chance of winning great camera equipment. All entries must be received by Friday September 19 2014.

You will be asked to register, which is free and also allows you to comment on articles and photographs on the site and to take advantage of special offers.
