The skill of photographer Matthew Usher combines with the beauty of Norfolk in an impressive exhibition at King’s Lynn this month
As a busy photographer for Archant, publishers of this magazine and the Eastern Daily Press newspaper, Matthew Usher is usually telling the story of day-to-day life in west Norfolk through his pictures. But this month the King’s Lynn-based photographer reveals another side of his camera work, with an exhibition his stunning pictures of the landscape and buildings that mark out this beautiful part of the country.
Matthew, 38, became a newspaper photographer at the age of 17. It’s been 10 years since he last exhibited his creative work, so this will be a show not to be missed, with some 20 framed pictures such as this thrilling, stormy nightscape of Lynn. He uses a uses a high resolution Nikon D810 camera to capture his images.
“Norfolk is such a special place and this is what I enjoy doing more than anything else - being out in the landscape, watching how the picture develops,” says Matthew, whose photographs are often featured in EDP Norfolk magazine.
