Folkestone Book Festival takes to the great outdoors with a series of literary walks and invites you to explore your own prose with experts in writing clinics!
This November Folkestone Book Festival presents four literary walks in some of Kent’s most scenic and historic locations. Join Sonia Overall and explore Folkestone’s spectacular seafront in the shoes of H G Wells and ask yourself, where would you shelter from a martian invasion? Carla Danella invites you to step into the shoes of novelist, playwright, actress and suffragette Christopher St John at her former home Smallhythe Place. Professor Carolyn Oulton idles with Jerome K Jerome, revealing some of the worst jokes about Folkestone from the 1890’s and Dr Richard Turney tracks T. S. Eliot’s time in Margate in October 1921, as he recovered from ill health.
