Happy 40th birthday to the Academy of St Thomas. The Norfolk orchestra celebrates its anniversary with a gala concert in St Andrew’s Hall, Norwich, on Saturday, October 19. Named after St Thomas Church in Norwich, where it first delighted audiences, it is made up of music teachers and other professional musicians from across the county and beyond, and has become one of the leading ensembles of its type. Conductor is Christopher Adey is himself celebrating 30 years with the orchestra.
