A 64-day cycle ride taking in the entire coast of Great Britain is coming your way - and anyone can get involved

The Yorkshire route

After skirting around the edges of the beautiful and rugged North Yorkshire Moors National Park, The Countrywide Great Tour passes Whitby, goes along the beautiful Robin Hood’s Bay and calls into Scarborough on August 1.

There won’t be much time to enjoy the sights and sounds of the seaside resort though because the following day the riders will have an early start before setting off along the scenic coastal route towards Flamborough Head, with its spectacular sheer white cliffs.

After that, it’s onwards along Bridlington Bay, passing Skipsea and Hornsea and through historic Yorkshire towns, such as Aldborough before heading on though Withernsea in the East Riding.

From there, riders will track the banks of the Humber Estuary to the stage finish in the city of Hull.

The tour leaves Yorkshire on August 3 as the route heads down to Skegness.
