Winnats Pass

The Winnats Pass is the stunning road you take into Castleton when heading there from the west. You can park in Castleton and follow the road out of the centre, walking on the grass verge. Most people stick to the right hand side of the gorge as the views from the top are the most stunning and you can head onto Mam Tor from there and heading back via the Broken Road.

Mam Tor

Arguably the most popular place to see the sunrise and sunset in the Peak District. As previously stated, you can walk from Castleton to Mam Tor (it should take you around an hour) or you can go directly to Mam Nick car park, which is based at the base on the hill. Once conquering the summit, you can extend your walk over the Great Ridge.

Hope and Win Hill

This walk in the Hope Valley takes you past fascinating properties ranging from modest cottages to majestic mansions. You will also pass through the remains of a Roman fort and follow the route taken long ago by legionnaires.
