It was record-breaking Food & Drink Festival for Bolton with more than 153,000 visitors attending the three day event.
Visitors came from around the world. Jean McMillan, age 82, from British Columbia, had only arrived in the country a few days earlier when her daughter Sandra Hopkins, from Leigh, suggested a trip to the festival. Jean said she thought the food was amazing.
There were a record 130 stalls offering a huge range of culinary delights and there were cookery demonstrations by
celebrity chefs such as John Torode, Michael Caines, Gino D’Acampo and James Martin.
Next year the festival celebrates it’s tenth anniversary. What’s the betting on it being even bigger?
