The third and final Black Tie and Diamonds annual charity ball was held in the Woodland Suite at Ribby Hall, Wrea Green.

Organised by Beverley Davis and her son, Brett, the ball was held in memory of her husband Gren Davis, who who died from cancer in 2012. An amazing £10,100 was raised for The Christie Hospital at the ball, which was attended by 332 people. Entertainment was provided by The Soul Jets, a nine piece London based band - Beverley’s other son, Mike, is a member - and DJ Sid Eccles.

Since losing Gren, over £33,000 has been raised for several cancer related charities in his memory, with the support of family, friends and the people of the Fylde.

Beverley said: ‘We would like to thank everyone who has supported us.’
