The UK’s first ever Quick Draw challenge was at the heart of the launch for this year’s Dorset Arts Weeks. Held in the glorious surroundings of Simon and Monique Gudgeon’s Sculpture by the Lakes at Pallington, 15 artists had just 90 minutes to produce a work of art, while guests looked on.
The resulting works, ranging from ceramics sculptures and felt-making to paintings and drawings were auctioned off by Garry Batt of Dukes Auctioneers and raised £4,500 for Dorset Visual Arts.
