More than 200 guests gathered at Ormskirk School to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the local branch of the University of the Third Age.

The Aughton and Ormskirk U3A is part of an national network of organisations which focus on informal life-long learning, mainly for people who are retired or semi-retired.

Branch chairwoman, Dorothy Harrison, welcomed guests and told them the Aughton and Ormskirk U3A now had almost 2000 members.
