Fundraiser to fight fracking.

More than 200 people attended the ‘Beat the January Blues’ fundraising event in the Woodland Suite at Ribby Hall Village, Wrea Green - an evening that raised £5,000 to help continue the fight against fracking.

It was jointly organised by the Roseacre Awareness Group (RAG) and Treales, Roseacre & Wharles Parish Council. Guests enjoyed a three course dinner followed by excellent entertainment.

Despite the Roseacre Wood site being deemed unsuitable for shale gas extraction because the surrounding country lanes could not safely support the heavy traffic, the Secretary of State has decided to reopen the public inquiry. RAG and the Parish Council thanked all those who attended or donated raffle prizes for their generous support and also to Ribby Hall Village for hosting the event.
