Bollywood theme at Chorley Mayor’s Ball

The charity ball was a huge success, with more than 200 people turning out to enjoy the first ever Bollywood theme at the Mayor’s Ball.

The Bollywood music, together with henna painting, the traditional Asian dress of salwar kameez and sarees and entertainment by DJ Kash Singh, made for a fantastic evening. The youngest guest, at only eight years old, was in their element.

The celebrations highlighted the new town centre developments which Mayor Hasina Khan says has helped put Chorley on the map.

She added: ‘It was a magical evening and it was so lovely to see the integration with the diverse communities of Chorley Borough. It has been a great honour to be the Mayor of Chorley during such a fantastic year for Chorley Council.’
