An emotional evening at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel at Clayton-le-Moors raised more then £4000 for the Brain Tumour Charity.

The event celebrated the life of Natalie Wilson the day before what would have been her 40th birthday.

About 130 friends, family and supporters attended the event which was co-hosted by Natalie’s sister, Siobhan Halstead. Guests were welcomed with drinks, a three-course meal plus dinner singers, games, a raffle, auction, and a live band. Auction prizes included a Dyson vacuum and signed memorabilia from Manchester United, Burnley and Blackburn Rovers.

Co-host Elisabeth Devey said: ‘We wanted to remember Natalie, at the time she would have turned 40. We certainly did that in what was a very emotional but wonderful evening.’
