Derian House Children’s Hospice recently hosted its ninth Forget Me Not Lunch, which was attended by 125 ladies.

Held at Mitton Hall, near Whalley, the lunch raised £6,000 for the Chorley-based hospice. After a sparkling drinks reception with music provided by singer Adam Parker Brown, guests enjoyed a fashion show from Whalley clothes shop, Maureen Cookson. Guest speaker for the lunch was Peter Murray of Pulse of Perfumery, who talked about his passion and knowledge of fragrance.

Susie Poppett, head of fundraising, said: ‘At the end of the day all the ladies left clutching goody bags, ESPA products and flowers, having had a wonderful time - with the added bonus of having contributed to the amazing £6,000 income on the day.’
