The Mayor of Preston Trevor Hart held a ball in the Foster Building of UCLan in aid of his chosen charity, Headway, which provides help for people dealing with brain injuries.
He was accompanied by his two daughters Mayoress Laura King and Mayoress Sarah McAlea. It is a charity very close to his heart following the loss of his wife, Claire, who suffered a brain tumour.
A drinks reception was held before guests were served a three course meal and entertained to a musical performance by Thomas Lopez.
