Readers of our feature last month about Emma Grandison’s decision to delay chemotherapy for the sake of her unborn daughter will remember her determination to attend a fundraising ball at The Pines Hotel in Clayton-le-Woods for the Rosemere Cancer Unit and the Neonatal Unit at Royal Preston Hospital.
We were delighted to discover that Emma, with her husband Ian, who live in Longton with their one-year-old daughter Erin, was able to join more than 200 guests at the winter wonderland ball. The event, organised by Emma’s friends Jenny Hollowood-Smith, Kerry Walsh and Lisa Franks, raised a stunning £9,500 as part of a long-running fundraising campaign.
