More than 130 members of Soroptimist International gathered in Liverpool for the inaugural conference organised by the South Lancashire Region.
Held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, the theme was ‘Mum’s the Word.’ Regional president, Victoria Smerdon, explained: ‘All of the speakers were linked into this theme. We talked about female and maternal health, and also on how we can promote our organisation - we are the best kept secret and we shouldn’t keep ‘mum’ any longer.’ The organisation is a worldwide club for women in management and the professions.
